If your video player cannot play a video, or if you only hear sound.

  1. You can download the free VLC Media Player. It can play all our videos right out of the box, and it is available for Windows, MacOSX, and many other operating systems. You can find it at www.videolan.org

  2. Many of our videos are encoded with something called Xvid. It gives much better video quality. If your video player cannot play a video, or if you only hear sound, you can easily fix it.
    1. Download the free Xvid codec to your desktop. Download (620 kb)
    2. Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installation.
    3. After installation, restart your video player and the video should play fine.

  3. Our videos often will not play in Quicktime or Real player. Please download the free VLC Media Player. or use the Windows Media Player.
